Maximum Bully Dog Food

The Maximum Bully product line includes one dry dog food, a recipe claimed to meet AAFCO nutrient guidelines for many life stages.

The first ingredient in this dog food is chicken meal.Chicken meal is recognized as a meat concentrate and contains nearly 300% more protein than fresh chicken.

The second ingredient is pork meal, another protein-rich meat concentrate. Yet it can also be saturated in ash — about 25-30%.

However, the ash content of the ultimate product is typically adjusted in the recipe to allow its mineral profile to meet up AAFCO guidelines.

The 3rd ingredient is chicken fat.Chicken fat is obtained from rendering chicken, a procedure much like making soup in that your fat itself is skimmed from the outer lining of the liquid.

Chicken fat is saturated in linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid required for life. Though it doesn't sound very appetizing, chicken fat is really a quality ingredient.

The fourth ingredient is white rice, a less nutritious form of rice in that your grain's healthier outer layer has been removed.

The fifth ingredient is barley.Barley is really a starchy carbohydrate supplying fiber and other healthy nutrients. However, irrespective of its energy content, this cereal grain is of only modest nutritional value to a dog.

The sixth ingredient is oatmeal, a whole-grain product created from coarsely ground oats. Oatmeal is naturally full of B-vitamins, dietary fiber and may be (depending upon its level of purity) gluten-free.
